And since I was still in a coloring mood the last couple days after finishing the two-page monster, I went through my uncolored pages and spent… quite a few hours on this page. I got the idea for coloring the shadowed mountains more blue earlier this afternoon when I saw Mt. Monadnock from a distance. (I live a state south of it, but I can see the peak on a good day. :|b) And just between the distance and the daylight, it looked a grey-ish blue more than purple (which is the hue the local hills turn around sunset). Huzzah for real life influencing art/color-choices!
So after having this taunt me for the last couple of months, I finally put on my big girl pants, tackled the grass and finished a last few extra details!
I’m sure a lot of you have heard about CISPA. About what it could mean for us and our privacy on tumblr, on our favorite sites, anywhere on the internet. It’s a danger to everyone, even if you don’t plan on doing anything that comes even remotely close to what this plan covers. There is very little privacy protection for us as individuals.
What you probably don’t know is this: Yesterday the House went and passed CISPA by an overwhelming 18-2 vote.
Now wait a second, you might say- I never heard anything about this! I mean, there’s no reports about it on the media, my groups haven’t said anything, I thought it was still in consideration!
It was. But the government pretty much hates the media and so does Hollywood, so this entire vote was done behind closed doors. For those not familiar with the term? That means no cameras, no coverage, not a goddamn peep about this in the media.
They want it to pass without us knowing.
If you want this to come to a grinding halt, if you want to have a chance to stand up and go UH WAIT A GODDAMN SECOND AND BACK THE FUCK UP, contact your state senators. Write them, call them, do something.
We still have the chance to stop this, guys. Pass this along, show it to everyone you know, get the word out. The more voices we have, the better.

And then it hit me 14 hours later that I shouldn’t be trying to link things at 6am. Because I forgot the link… Go figure, I manage to set it in the queue properly, but I mess up the link. :’D
Another thing, really. I keep meaning to link it, but I keep forgetting. Not too long ago, a future AU rp thread gave me ideas. And one of those ideas clung. The idea that clung resulted in the start of a Korra/Tahno fanfic. What was originally going to be a couple of little vignettes, turned into a huge monster fic that skips through time.
And so I present, the product of at least a week’s worth of work: What Am I Doing… by yours truly, and as dedicated to my dear Roppie for enabling me while I realized how much I actually shipped it.
